This Deaf Awareness DVD has been used not only as part of the exhibition for local organisations but also incorporated into the school curriculum as a resource to promote Deaf Awareness in schools.
The DVD includes a role play of how a hearing person struggles to communicate with Deaf people and how this makes him feel. Social isolation can be a big issue for Deaf people but this isolation can be lessened by people learning sign language.
The DVD also includes some Deaf Awareness tips when communicating with Deaf people and some basic signs which can help aid communication.
