College Curriculum

Our college curriculum provides our Post-16 and Post-19 learners with bespoke learning pathways into further education, employment, and independent living.

We offer academic and vocational courses with recognised qualifications and supported internships, tailored to each student's individual needs, strengths and choices.

Find out more about our Post-16 and Post-19 pathways.

The Academy is a truly bilingual environment which means that we teach using both British Sign Language (BSL) and English, and provide a BSL-rich 'home from home' residential setting.

Our learners can also access a range of onsite therapies including audiology, speech and language therapy, counselling, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

We place great importance on social, emotional and cultural development, alongside tailor-made education and care packages. we want our students to leave the Academy as happy and confident young people with pride in their Deaf identities, prepared for fulfilling lives.

And all of this happens in beautiful Devon, with access to the vibrant university city of Exeter, the leisure and activity opportunities in the Devon countryside, and of course the stunning beaches.
