At Christmas, a giant snow globe in the city raised over £1,400 for us as part of our 2016 Princesshay charity of the year partnership. The snow globe invited passers-by to climb inside, play in the pretend snow and have a festive photo taken.
Princesshay’s Operations Manager, Andy Littlejohns said: “Exeter Deaf Academy is a local, dynamic charity which provides excellent support for the deaf community. The snow globe was so popular last year so we knew we wanted to bring it back, raising funds for the Academy in the process.”
Princesshay worked with us throughout 2016 on events and fundraising activities, including sponsoring our football team’s kit and taking part in The City to Sea Marathon, a challenging 26.5-mile route from Exeter to Babbacombe Downs in Torquay.
Exeter Deaf Academy Marketing Manager, Helen Trebble said: “We are so grateful to The Christmas Snow Globe for their generous donation. Money raised will also go towards purchasing essential items, such as specialist sensory and audiology equipment, as well as funding support services for families.”
