We support Safer Internet Day

When: 26 January 2017

  • Safer Internet Day 2017

Tuesday 7 February is Safer Internet Day, a day that is very important to Exeter Deaf Academy and our students. Safer Internet Day is organised by the UK Safer Internet Centre and is celebrated every year across the world.

Our School students are participating alongside hundreds of other schools across the UK and they will be learning about how to use the internet safely and positively.

Besides lots of information for schools, there is also some great resources for parents and carers too.
You can download your free pack here.

In April, School and College students will also be attending workshops run by a local organisation called SOS Global.

These workshops are designed to engage students and share helpful information on how to keep themselves safe and use the internet safely.

Keeping safe on social media will be a topic for discussion, particularly around stranger danger, and the risks of accepting friend requests from unknown contacts.

We will be planning future workshops so if you are are parent or carer of a student and you would like to suggent a topic, or you have questions, please email Mark Stocks via our Contact Us page.
