A few weeks ago, we shared with you that Year 7s Zak Wilson and Oliver Elliott-Chorley were taking part in Round 1 of the Punk Chef: Kids Challenge competition. Round 1 was really tough and there were lots of highs and lows but Zak and Oliver did really, really well. Not only did they smash through to Round 2 but they made it through to Round 3 and we’re extremely pleased to tell you that Zak and Oliver WON THE PUNK CHEF: KIDS CHALLENGE!
Zak and Oliver took part in a two-day challenge over the October half-term to secure their mighty title. On the first day they competed in a ‘Show-Off’ challenge to showcase their culinary skills. They had 40 minutes to prepare and cook one dish of their choice to impress Punk Chef with only a tip that the more amazing it was, the better! Marks were awarded for
• Flavour combinations
• Technique/ Skill
• Healthiness of Recipe
Day Two was the Final and Zak and Oliver had just 50 minutes to cook a two-course meal!
This is a fantastic achievement for Zak and Oliver and we are very proud of them. Please visit the links below to see the budding 'Jamie Oliver's in action.
Congratulations to all the teams who took part. It looks like you had great fun!
