FTE Salary £25,080.00 (pro-rata for part-time, term time hours)

Fixed term until March 2020 with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive contributioin to this growing and progressive organisation.

The In-house trainee/newly qualified BSL/English Interpreter will work with our staff and students both internally and externally.  This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Interpreter looking to gain career development and consistent work within our team orientated environment. 

As an in-house Interpreter, no day is the same, making the role unique, exciting and challenging. The successful candidate will find themselves working in many different scenarios, allowing them to diversify and expand their skill base.

Can you demonstrate:

  • A recognised Interpreter qualification and the Level 6 qualification in BSL or evidence of currently training to become qualified.
  • NRCPD registration.
  • Experience of working with Deaf adults and young people.
  • An understanding of the social and emotional barriers which Deaf people face.
  • Knowledge and an appreciation of the barriers Deaf young people face.
  • A commitment to professionalism with the ability to provide a first class service.
  • Flexibility to work in a busy and fast paced organisation.
