Welcome to Residential Care at the Academy!

In this area, you can find information about our Residential Care provision and additional support that will be recieved to complement learning at the Academy. Whether you are an existing student, a new visitor or parent/carer, we hope you will find our website informative and helpful.

The safety, health and wellbeing of our young people is of paramount importance and goes hand in hand with academic learning and development. We work closely with the education staff to ensure that all development is fully supported and young people are given the ability to thrive.

Our Residential Care Team includes a variety of roles from Student Care Officers to Key Workers and also more specialist staff such as Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. Here on the website site you will find out how our Residential Care Team work to support our young people in achieving their full potential and developing their independence as a Deaf young person.
