“There is simply nothing that could have prepared me for what I was about to experience. The feeling of being irrevocably humbled yet electrified by the elements up there. It is an experience I am already planning to re-live and so it’s lovely to think that the money we continue to raise will go to such a prolific cause.”

Frequently asked questions

What if I can't make 25th July?
You can still jump for Exeter Deaf Academy, simply visit the website here and choose a date that suits you (please note that this will no longer be part of the world record attempt). Please ensure that you choose Exeter Deaf Academy from the list of charities when you apply and we will then be in touch with our fab fundraising pack and lots of support.

What will I experience on the World Record skydive?

Taking part in the World Record attempt you will be jumping from an incredible 10,000ft. As you exit the aircraft you will experience speeds of up to 120 mph as the adrenaline rushes over you and you freefall! As the canopy unfolds, you will drift back to the ground and enjoy the incredible views all the way to the sea, lasting up to 5 minutes before you reach the ground.
What if I want to jump from 15,000ft?

To get as many people jumping as possible and break the World Record the jump on 25th July will take place from 10,000ft. If your preference is for a little more adrenaline why not choose an alternative date to suit you and jump from 15,000ft. Simply visit the website here to jump from 15,000ft.

How much does the Skydive cost?

You can Skydive for free if you raise the minimum sponsorship of £395.00. All you need to do is pay the £50.00 deposit towards your jump to book your place. Raise a further minimum of £345 in sponsorship: £200 of which pays for your jump and £145 of which is donated to Exeter Deaf Academy.
Alternatively, if you are able to fund the cost of the jump yourself, 100% of the funds you raise are donated to Exeter Deaf Academy. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement with this option.
How will I raise all that money?

Don’t worry, we will help you every step of the way with your fundraising. There is a skydive fundraising pack we can send you that gives you lots of tips. From raffles and quiz nights to online sponsorship pages, you’ll reach your target in no time! Just remember to choose Exeter Deaf Academy from the list of charities when you sign up and we’ll make sure your fundraising pack is on its way.
