Skydive for us

Module main decoration

A skydive is one of the most exciting and unforgettable ways to raise money to support Exeter Deaf Academy and change the lives of Deaf young people.

A Tandem Skydive is an easy and enjoyable way to experience the thrills of skydiving without having to learn how. The exhilarating freefall combined with the peace and tranquillity of the parachute ride makes Tandem Skydiving a unique experience you will never forget.

“There is simply nothing that could have prepared me for what I was about to experience. The feeling of being irrevocably humbled yet electrified by the elements up there. It is an experience I am already planning to re-live and so it’s lovely to think that the money we continue to raise will go to such a prolific cause.” Liz Davis-Bradleys Estate Agents

FAQ’s
What will I experience on the skydive?

You will be jumping in tandem at an incredible 15,000ft, the highest possible jump without an oxygen supply. As you exit the aircraft you will experience speeds of up to 120 mph as the adrenaline rushes over you for up to a full minute, freefalling up to 2 miles! As the canopy unfolds, you will drift back to the ground and enjoy the incredible views all the way to the sea, lasting up to 5 minutes before you reach the ground.

How much does the Skydive cost?

You can Skydive for free if you raise the minimum sponsorship of £395.00. All you need to do is pay the £50.00 deposit towards your jump to book your place. Raise a further minimum of £345 in sponsorship: £200 of which pays for your jump and £145 of which is donated to Exeter Deaf Academy.

Alternatively, if you are able to fund the cost of the jump yourself, 100% of the funds you raise are donated to Exeter Deaf Academy. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement with this option.

How will I raise all that money?

Don’t worry, we will help you every step of the way with your fundraising. There is a skydive fundraising pack we can send you that gives you lots of tips. From raffles and quiz nights to online sponsorship pages, you’ll reach your target in no time! To request your skydive fundraising pack please email us at fundraising@exeterdeafacademy.ac.uk

When and where are the jumps taking place?

Skydives take place at Dunkeswell Airfield near Exeter with Skydive Buzz UK, one of the UK’s leading parachute schools. It is one of the few centres that jump from Flight Level 150 (the highest skydive possible without an oxygen supply) and has experienced instructors and an impeccable safety record.

You can book your jump at a time that suits you. Alternatively, join one of our prearranged skydive dates and jump with other people raising money for Exeter Deaf Academy.
