Exmouth Deaf Awareness Week 17-23 September, is a brand new initiative led by the Deaf Academy to engage the community in Exmouth with deaf awareness in the town ahead of us moving into our New Deaf Academy at the former Rolle College site in the academic year 2019/20.
On Sunday 23 September, deaf and hearing junior players and their coaches from Exmouth RFU and Wales Deaf Rugby Union will take part in ‘Silent Rugby’ sessions at Exmough RFU, to raise awareness of some of the challenges faced by deaf rugby players in the sport. Members of the Wales Deaf Rugby Union team will be supporting the event on the day and meeting the junior players.
Silent Rugby Match starts 10am. Finishes at 11am.
British Sign Language (BSL)/Fingerspelling for Coaches, Players and Parents 10am-12 noon.
