Timetable and routine
Our Early Years provision aims to provide both high quality care and education for your child. We work in partnership with parents to help your child to learn and develop and are committed to equality and value diversity.
We respect your place as the prime carers and educators in your child’s life and will keep you informed of activities and development concerning your child. We will always consult you regarding your child as we want to make sure you feel fully involved in your child’s development. As part of this we have an open door policy and welcome you into the Early Years provision rooms at any time.
The Early Years Team’s objective is to ensure that each child develops within a safe and stimulating environment and receives all the care and attention needed from our highly qualified specialist staff. Developing social skills is another important part of Early Years, so we make sure pupils can join other children, as well as adults, as they live, play and work together at the Deaf Academy. We also tailor our approach to student’s individual needs by letting children lead their own learning by directing your child’s development through building on what your child knows and can do already.
Upon being granted a place in Early Years each pupil receives a Key Person who develops a close link with both child and parent. They report progress as your child learns and develops, this enables you to have input and help shape the service we offer.
