Exeter Academy PE Action Plan 2017 – 2018
     
           

The information about our action plan is outlined below. We will ensure that these improvements are sustainable by timetabling weekly rebound sessions for students following the physiotherapist recommendations. This will focus on building core strength and specific muscle groups. Students will continue to have weekly session with Inspire Sports to develop progression in a range of areas and increase the students overall fitness and well being. Equipment purchased will allow the students to continue the new skills that they have learnt at break times and other Physical Education sessions.

Funding

DFE Government funding for Primary School PE development: £3,000 allocated for 2017/18 as instalments in December 2017 and April 2018.

       

The money will be spent in the following ways:

       

Accessing new sporting activities

Students to try new activities/sports with a consideration to continue this for a block of sessions in the Autumn.

• weekly lessons from a PE specialist with Inspire Sport (including Archery, Golf).
• access to weekly cycling.
• daily access to short bursts of exercise using a WII U, balance board and sport games.
• access to rebound therapy.

Inspire Sport will coach the students for one hour a week for 16 weeks. They will introduce a range of new sports/activities such as archery ta and golf.

All primary students to have access to weekly cycling.

Student with additional SEN needs requires a specialist trike with back support for his physical needs to give him access to cycling.

Cost of fixing trikes so they are roadworthy is £60 each (£60x5=£300)
